Added 2018-03-13 23:18:43 +0000 UTCHey y’all! I’m currently putting the finishing touches on the script for my first MOVIE ANALYSIS video. In case anyone missed it, the subject of this video will be BEETLEJUICE and a bunch of other Tim Burton’s films. It’s like 12 single-spaced pages of jokes and film theory and all that good stuff.
Since this is my first time doing a video like this, it’s kind of a slow process. And we’re doing LOTS of research (watching tons of movies, reading a bunch of articles and reviews, looking up critical theory essays--SEE PICTURE ABOVE FOR PROOF THAT I'VE READ A BOOK ONE TIME), to make sure it’s top notch. Once the script is done, we’ll have to record the VO, shoot a few special shots of me saying some of the lines in fun locations (like Hot Topic! because they have so many Tim Burton-themed products!), and then pull TONS of clips from Tim Burton movies, and other movies too. I think you’ll really enjoy it. Right now the goal is to produce one of these video per month (in addition to live streaming video game stuff a few times a week). But as I get the hang of making these videos, I’m hoping to up that two two or three. Maybe like one big, 30-minute video per month, plus one or two smaller ones. We’ll see.
Hopefully we get this video out by the end of March. And you all will be the first ones to see it. I’ll post it here a day or two before I release it publicly.
We’re also going to revamp the Patreon tiers/rewards/goals, since movie analysis videos looks like they’ll be the thing I put the most effort toward for this page. Whatever stuff you’re getting now (names in the credits, etc) we’ll try to preserve. And for the first video, I’m going to put EVERY patron’s name in there, since you’re my awesome old school supporters. And if there is anything you think would make a good reward/goal/etc, let me know! I want you to get stuff that you’d actually want, since I REALLY appreciate your support. GIMME THAT SWEET SWEET FEEDBACK! I couldn’t do this without you!!
