Sneak peek - Animations

Hello everyone! I finally have some animations to show you!

Without further ado, here they are. To be honest, I’m not sure if they’re moving exactly how I expected. I wanted to be more deliberate with some of the bones, but it ended up looking unnatural and it was hard to sync. So this animation relies a lot more on a chain of interconnected bones and physics simulations, which makes it look a bit more “wobbly.”

I still need to add more expressions for the MC, and I’ll probably add some extra assets for Kana’s face. But overall I’m happy with the result. Once I have enough animations to put the whole scene together, I’ll know if I need to add or change bigger parts to adjust the pose.

Now that I’ve found the "rhythm" for this particular animation, it’s much easier to create the following ones. That takes a big weight off my shoulders, since there’s always the fear that the pose/skeleton I made won’t animate well. Before continuing with Kana’s scene, I’ll move forward with the CGs for the endings (of this update, not the whole game) to get a better idea of how much is actually left for release. At this pace, I’m aiming for October.

As a bonus, here’s a commission I did some time ago: a redesign of ITALY for the mockup project “War Entities,” which is NOT in development btw. Eventually I’ll post these commissions (this one, the next one, and also Mia’s) on Twitter/X... I just haven’t found the right timing yet.
