Sneak peek - Flat Injustice

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting a sneak peek sooner, but it’s hard to do while trying not to spoil too much. Also, in these posts I like to show something a bit spicy to hype you up.

I’ve been making good progress with the game, and I practically have all the assets (except for the animations) needed to finish Kana’s scene. I already have all the CGs, dialogues, and backgrounds. On their own they’re not very exciting and would spoil the scene, so I’d rather not show them. They’re the kind of things that take time but aren’t very interesting to showcase by themselves, for example with this image, which uses the sprite I had already shown you.

That’s why I’d like to show you something from Flat Injustice, the side project I’ve been working on, but that until recently was at risk because of all the censorship going on in game platforms. It’s still not fully solved, but at least I can continue on Itch.io and I’ve regained some visibility. Maybe that’s what pushed me to get more active with Flat Injustice, since I feel that if I don’t finish it all the effort I put in would go to waste.

Flat injustice

I had already shown this image in the previous progress update, but it was unfinished. As you can see, the MC of this game looks just like the one in AL, and that’s in case the project fails, so I can reuse the assets somehow. It also helps those who enjoy self-inserting into the game, keeping some consistency between universes. (I could easily swap these assets for an Emily scene, for example, since their bodies are similar.)

There are still a few CGs left to complete the playable build, and then I’ll have to put together the animations in a way that’s fun without becoming tedious to play. I don’t plan on making a game that requires grinding, but rather focusing on a slow buildup of tension with the patients as they go through the treatment. I’d like the first demo to have enough content to show at least one size increase, but that will take a bit more time.

Sorry for not showing more from AL, but I’ve made good progress. I hope to have more to share without spoiling anything for the next progress update, like Rea’s new sprite and the new backgrounds. For now I can only leave you with this small tease.
