Hello again! Here's the sneak peek of laura's next scene. As I said in the previous post, I don't want to overload this update more than necessary, one of the aspects I noticed that impacted negatively on the development time was the writing, so for this update I want to cut the number of words in half (to release it earlier, I'll limit myself to 6k - 10k), keeping the same amount of animations and artwork.

When I say writing was causing me problems, I don't mean the writing itself, I can write just fine ( its not like I ran out of ideas), but for the previous update I got stuck real bad where the writing started to rely on conditionals and other dialogue lines, even in a supposedly simple scene like Emily's, I just couldn't do it... It's as if my brain didn't have enough RAM. This could be due to burnout, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write either the Mia or Luna scenes in the previous updates.
When I was preparing for my final exam, I increased the dosage of my ADHD medication to keep up with the workload, and when I was nearing the end of v0.4.2 I felt it wasn't helping anymore (but I couldn't stop taking it as I was about to finish the update). At the moment I am taking it occasionally as I still need it to work, but not every day like before... I'd like to reduce my intake until I get rid of the tolerance I've built up so far ( that doesn't mean I won't be working on the game, don't worry). The thing is... I can draw without it, but writing/programming/animation is a bit tricky... that's why I want to do a more art-focused update and not complicate myself with writing this time around, at least for starters.
On a less serious note... I want this update to be a fun one, the goal of this update is for the MC to obtain a magnetic screwdriver for himself, and thus, unlock all sorts of possibilities for future scenes (previously, the mc was supposed to look for it at Laura's house).
As the tone of this update is less serious, I skipped upgrading the encounter sprite and just worked on the normal one, which with a bit of ingenuity can be used for the strip-search mini-game.

I still need to add more expressions and all that, also hidden items (like coins, that lengthen the time you touch her). I also need to work on her rear view... when that's done, I'll work on the close-up CGs (like the ones in Emily's scene and Ruri's mini-game).
There is a lot to draw, certainly a challenge, but I bet you guys will love it. I hope to make some more progress next week. Bye!
