Progress update - September

Hello everyone, here is this month's progress update!

I had already warned that I would be busy studying this month, but for now, the game's development continues without issue. Don't be scared by the low progress percentages, I have the most important pieces already started (in the lineart stage) and the others ready to pose and draw.

As you see in the graphic, when I talk about complex CGs I mean pieces that vary in facial expressions as well as in other elements like arms and clothes, that's because for this scene I would like to add something similar to what I did for Rea's last scene, which would be to have the option to choose the "flavor" of what happens, whether it's Femdom, Maledom or something wholesome.

This piece up here was actually going to be animated as well, but it would be too many things to animate and I'm trying to do a quicker update this time.

As I have an exam at the end of the month, the closer I get to that date, the less time I have available, that's why instead of doing piece by piece, I'm working on several at a time, leaving them in a state where it's easy to pick them up even if I'm short of time / burnt out from studying. Starting a piece that has multiple parts and will be animated requires some planning and logistics, so it's better to settle on them now before time gets tighter.

Another preview, this piece will be animated, the more complicated of the two.

Minor issues

I must admit I had a little writer's block, I was trying to make the scene more interesting by adding, branched dialogues, maybe add a little meter of sorts and other already coded systems (like the lie detector) to make the dialogue more dynamic (This is to make the different variants (maledom / femdom / romance feel earned). Luckily I managed to write enough to plan the CGs and animations needed for this update so I will deal with the rest of the writing later.

Regarding animations, I had several problems last update with Lena's animation because I built that scene relying too much on that animation, and when it didn't turn out the way I wanted, the process took too long. This time I am planning the update to work even without animations, so I won't get stuck in case they don't turn out the way I want.

Release date

I don't plan to make any complicated minigames for this update, all the navigation/map/BGs are done and I hope to have all the assets ready by the end of the month, That would leave writing and animation for after the exam. If all goes well, v0.4.2 will be ready to go by October.

And as I said, don't be discouraged by the low % of progress, I will continue working on the more complicated pieces and once I have all the CGs half-baked, I will complete them one by one. I may disappear on the 20th to concentrate on the exam, but I will try to post another sneak peek before then!
