If you are using a VPN and it is "on" the the Launcher for UE5 will not work, try turning your VPN "off" and then use the UE5 launcher again and it should let you login, and you're welcome.

This happened to me when I had my VPN on and I could not login to the game because of it but when I turned VPN off it worked fine and I was able to login.

yea same thing here, "launcher" log in button stays greyed out for some reason, why I am not a fan of these launchers they are poorly done and cause more issues then good. Guess I'll be requesting a refund since I payed for nothing.

Installer (UE5) worked absolutely fine after I redownloaded it (had a hiccup during download). Game looks great, but not being able to save the keyboard settings is really nasty. This is one of the few things that have to be made possible ASAP.

A couple of hints for downloading the latest launcher, please be aware that it WILL trigger your Anti-Virus program, you will have to disable your Anti-Virus program so it will install, no it is NOT a virus even though your Anti-Virus program may think it is (go figure), also if you have a VPN function running you will have to turn VPN "OFF" for the launcher to connect to the site, sorry but the launcher does not work with VPN "ON", yes I found all this out the hard way, I hope this helps with the folks having problems downloading and installing the launcher and then trying to launch it.

This is how it works: Virus detectors look for patterns in, particularily, exe files. (Which is all files that DO something, like launchers). There are so many viruses that there will be significant overlap between any code anyone writes, and a virus, especially if the scanner only looks at short snippets. (Since scanners often check hundreds of thousands of files in a minute, they obviously don't look at it in-depth.). Detecting harmless code as a virus is known as a 'false positive' and is REALLY common. If a big commercial product is flagged with a false positive, that will get feedback and get corrected almost instantly. However, a fairly small game project is likely to go unreported for a while, especially if you use a fairly niche anti-virus program or if it's a game some might be embarassed to report for some reason. Now, there COULD be a virus - even serious operators can get hacked, for instance. But the odds are really strongly in the favor of it being a 'false positive'. In the end, though, it's your call - odds are it's corrected allready, so this is more for when you run into this in the future, because you will.

I managed to find a workaround by uninstalling mccafee and webadvisor, then installing the program. works on ue5 at least... afterwards you can re-install mccafee and it shouldnt flag the [program as its already installed...

that is normal, because it is not downloaded by thousends of people so there is no data collected about if there may be a Virus so you get warned from your PC that he is not shure if it is safe and stops the download, you just have to click on the warning and say you trust the download and everything is fine and if you are woried: my Antivirus is scaning every new download even if i say it is alright and even the scan says it is safe to use and contains neither an Virus nor any other harmful data

I just want to say, I really enjoy the game (both versions), and I really love the use of so many ancient ideas and visuals. This game has a ton of potential, and it's not like most 3D games woth a super empty world with a tiny bit of content, there's already a fair amount and the game is FUN, not just erotic. Can't wait to see the progress this makes, it's already off to an awesome start. I play on a 7950X3d and 4090, and the visuals are stunning and performance is butter smooth and fast. Great work Carnal team, this has been a great discovery for me!

Edit: I Believe i found the problem. I am using Avast One to protect my PC. It has moved every instance of the Launcher into Quarantine, due to the Launcher being recognised as "FileRepMalware". Anyone else with that problem out there?

I do believe that the Legacy Launcher (UE4) is broken when it comes to Login via Google. When I toggle DevTools and look up Console it states: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()"

I can't download the latest patch. It opens an Error that says: "ERROR:selfpatcher does not exist." I tried to delete the game and downloaded the launcher again but that was no solution. EDIT: I reinstalled the old version and deleted the Selfpatcher by accident so it was my fault :-D

Your Steam key will continue working and will receive all updates when they come to the platform. Steam runs behind Patreon but eventually gets all the same content (other than the few Patreon-exclusive cosmetics).
