My disappointment with this anime adaptation grows more and more with each episode. I have no idea why so much content was cut from the light novel and replaced with stupid anime-original content that makes no sense and creates a lot of plot holes. It's actually such a shame because the first few episodes looked so promising.

2025-11-05 08:31:31 +0000 UTCMost of the scenes you’ve been upset about like the elf back story and some of your theory crafting regarding Akira’s shadow magic and Saran are anime original scenes. The pacing and some of the story got changed in the anime adaptation. For example, Akira being oblivious to Amelia’s feelings was not part of the LN and more anime original because Akira and Amelia officially became a couple before the duel in the LN but was skipped over. Akira and Amelia in this episode are suppose to be more intimate especially how Akira admitted to Amelia how he wants to rail her but wants to hold off until they defeat the Demon Lord instead they ended up sleeping on the same bed embracing/hugging each other.
