Bakemonogatari Ep5

There are various hints throughout the episodes funnily enough: 1) Mayoi is never in the same frame as Senjo, and Senjo never talks with her. 2) I like that Mayoi never lies, and is open with what she is from the start, however that we as viewer are so preoccupied thinking its about playing the hero, we never notice we get played. 3) There are multiple situations where we fall victim to the warped perspective of Araragi, for example that he doesnt notice anyone else on the park, when in reality there are multiple people (just not existing to him, he literally overlooks them like we do). You can hear voices and sounds of Playground stuff sometimes during the scenes.

2025-08-24 22:48:56 +0000 UTCThat's the funny thing, monogatari fans don't defend themselves. We're lolicons and we aren't gonna make stupid excuses for it. But equating lolicons and predators as the same thing is also retarded. Let people look at their drawings. Don't pretend like that's a crime or the same thing as rape because it's not. Acting like every lolicon is a predator is like saying every man is a rapist.

2025-08-22 11:21:42 +0000 UTCHe did give her an answer, it just wasn’t a direct yes or no. Senjougahara Tore or Senjougahara fascination was a joke that was continued on from the first episode. Basically going to just copy a thread from Reddit on this one, but they’re talking about the root of the word “moe” and how moe is a form of attraction/charm, to which she believes mitoreru (fascination) is a level above that. She explains how both -tore (the 2nd kanji in mitoreru) and moe are written in kanji using the grass radical (蕩 for -tore and 萌 for moe, the grass radical is the 艹 part), and implies that the way -tore is written makes it like a deeper form of moe. So it’s like he’s speaking about her like he’s going to have a greater form of attraction towards her. Also “Senjougahara Tore” is the name of that piano theme of Senjous OP, it’s pretty well-known by fans of the series.
