.......RANT ON...... Chess is terrible, any "game" where an expert can challenge themselves with a published book of choose your own move set results is a fail. A Game is a contest of equals performed by inherently unequal beings. Therfore they require added complexity in the form of luck or double blind to be balanced. (There is also the flaw inherent in You go, I go systems when used for simulations) Chess is Tic Tac Toe with more steps, like dropping 2 balls from the same height. If chess was really about warfare then the Russian officer corps wouldn't have such shitty flexibility and pisspoor results. People are wrong when when they compare chess to warfare. Chess is like ballroom dancing. It looks fancy and it makes people think your more sophisticated than you really are. It's a trope, like smart people in fiction being assholes. ....RANT OFF......
