2025-08-10 03:52:27 +0000 UTCjust looked into it japan criminal responsibility is 14 yo minimum Below this age, even for mxrder, cant be tried, and cant receive punishment or jail only therapy or supervision azuma is 9 yo. hence he should have logically taken the fall big bro is 15 - 18 (high school student) we know this as he has a part time job (minimum age is 15 yo to work) so he can receive a jail sentence of 10+ years and tried as an adult for mxrder. Very unlikely for him to get away with a light sentence. heinous crimes like mxrder receive adult punishments

Hence the reason for the family's trouble, him losing his job, and not being able to go to college. If that still seems like a light sentence, apparently Japan's legal system goes REALLY easy on minors.
