Dante's Devil Trigger was awakened through the Rebellion being stabbed into him by Vergil in Devil May Cry 3, thanks to its unique property that is presumed to be the opposite of the Yamato's severance. And after waking up from a quick nap from the sudden awakening, he decides to chase after Vergil, by running down the massive tower from its peak. Fighting off some annoying flying demon birds, as he reaches reentry speed from running down the tower.
