In the original story, Lady's father sacrificed her mother for demonic power. As Lady's family on her mother's side, were descendants of a priestess-or-something, that helped Sparda in sealing one of the major gates leading to the demon world. In retaliation, Lady abandoned her original name, and became a Demon Hunter, for the express purpose of killing her own father. The butts of the red and blue demons, was where their heads were originally located. And when Dante slew their bodies, they begged him to take them with him as their wielder. Which he agreed, but told them to stop talking. As they were extremely chatty demons, and kind of friendly. As when Dante encountered them, they thought of him as a guest. Where they debated about how to best greet their guest, annoying the hell out of Dante. Till he decided to try and walk past the door they were guarding. The above is Devil May Cry 3 content, which is chronologically the first game in the series. And I'm paraphrasing a fair amount the events. While I'm at it; The plant-snake demoness is from Devil May Cry 4. While the demon knight is from Devil May Cry 5.
