As a manhwa and novel reader, I'm disappointed in how the anime just erases the comedy. If the storyline changes, I'll sad but I understand, but when the essence of a character or the inner workings of the world outside the MC is changed, you've messed something up. Arthur is kind of a sarcastic little shit at the beginning and it is part of his charm. You see the effects of a grown man in a child's body and how he thinks and changes slowly through the way he expresses his humor. His humor is kind of a outlet for him as he's growing up in a baby's body and it shapes the character of Arthur, which Grey wears like armor in this unfamiliar world. Without this humor, his character is vastly different and he seems more like a robot than a person. And if you read the manhwa, his humor develops his character as much as his character shapes his humor. If this continues, the character from the source material will be gone and in his place will be a caricature of a stereotypical isekai MC. If anyone is a fan of Percy Jackson, it's kind of like watching the 2010 movie after reading the series. Okay, not to that extent, but still, the characters (not just the MC) are different from the source material, and it makes the characters seem hollow. I know anime only fans won't notice anything wrong, but for manhwa and novel readers, the animation isn't the only thing killing TBATE.

Seems like most of the vitriol is from manhwa readers who are upset that this didn't get the same treatment as the likes of Solo Leveling (which IMHO is a hideously overrated work that is carried solely by the quality of its anime adaptation)

All these perspective changes where we keep looking at the same picture, the surrounding effects that desperately try to make a picture a scene. I guess this is peak trash. And I kind of see now how fans of the original works are really disapointed. For me, who never heard of it before - it is just funny though xD
