In the manga Ryuga’s backstory is this, he is actually an ancient king of the dragon clan and the strongest emperor of the dragon clan (Yes, he actually comes from a clan called the dragon clan but I think they aren’t actually dragons, but they could also be descendants of actual dragons whose bloodline is super thin now) hence the Dragon Emperor title, but he was asleep for 100s of years until Doji found and woke him up. His crown and gauntlet are artifacts of the dragon clan. But none of this is never mentioned in the anime. Also all members of the dragon clan train to perfect beyblading and use dragon beyblades, and the number of descendants left are few and they are spread across the globe. Ryuga is from a village of dragon clan descendants.
