You probably have the best anime experience this way. You can imagine how someone could easily not enjoy the sbow as much without all the extra details, theorizing and just taking the time to analyze what's going on.

We can become our own person with our own resolve." That very line you said is very relevant to Subaru's past and his struggle to mold his own identity. His very character. In the same way Subaru was molding himself to be what he thinks he should be as "Ken's son," Roswaal is trying to mold Subaru into what HE wants him to be. Let's hope Subaru can come out of this despair stronger with Otto's support and show Roswaal who we are. Who Natsuki Subaru wants to be and not what others expect him to be.
