Just so you know, chronologically, this (just after this episode) would be where the two OVAs fit. Memory Snow first, then The Frozen Bond. You can also watch them both at the end of season 1 (but before season 2 for the best experience).

2024-08-15 06:46:04 +0000 UTCRegarding if Rem needed saving or not in the end of ep9: There was a number of dogs that came at her while she was distracted. If even one bit her and got away then Rem would be in Subaru's shoes, being cursed and awaiting her death the next day. It is possible that she would have way less curse than Subaru and could be treated by Beatrice, so yeah... I would also say that Subaru's "save" was unnecessary and likely made things worse. Not that he knew that at the time.
