2024-07-31 19:27:27 +0000 UTCnot sure if someone else has mentioned it to you, but the main character is supposed to be a rough pastiche of Osamu Dazai, one of the great modern japanese novelists. he tried to drown himself in a river THREE times, among other attempts. well, third time was a charm. but anyways. his most famous work is Ningen Shikkaku, which this isekai was cheekily named after. basically, its like if some deranged person in america thought "what if Edgar Allan Poe got isekai'd" and titled the result 'Isekai of the House of Usher'
