FAST FRIENDS
It’s always fun to work with new models, and even more fun to connect models and watch fast friendships form. However, one of the biggest challenges I have in my work is shooting two models in the same frame.
Yesenia had come to me a while before this shoot and asked if I knew any model that would want to recreate some promo photos Keanu Reeve and River Phoenix shot for their film in the 90s titled MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO. It was a movie about gay love, and the black and white images Yesenia showed me were incredibly sexually charged. So of course, I knew the perfect person to call up: Jay Marie.
As we hoped, Jay Marie was eager to shoot it with Yesenia, and two weeks later they were both sitting on my bed, getting to know each other and trying their best not to feel awkward while trying to figure out how to pretend to make out with a complete stranger. Soon they were old pals, and were more than comfortable pushing each others boundaries a bit. Suffice it to say, the shoot went great, they made a genuine connection, and the end result were some really great images.
So please don’t miss out on this MASSIVE series, with a highly flirtatious, sensual charge! I know you’ll enjoy these a lot!
