The Merriest Christmas
I’ve always loved Christmas time. It brings out the best in people, and sadly sometimes the worst. But the end of the year is all about rebirth, renewal, fresh starts. And after the year I’ve had professionally, I’ll take all the fresh starts I can get.
I’d like to say I’m rising above all the shitty happenstances, all the bad things that happened to me professionally this year, but frankly, I can’t help but be a bit bitter. I’ve worked at this career for over 15 years, and to see all my advertising avenues (Tumblr/Instagram) becoming impotent or deleted due to the new Fosta/Sesta Laws in the blink of an eye makes me feel sincerely angry. I don’t know what the future holds for any of us model photographers now that our work is officially lumped in with abuse videos and child pornography. Broadly written laws by uneducated fools never work out for the little guys.
But thankfully I have a wonderful, gorgeous girlfriend who has been here for me during this highly tumultuous year. I have several new projects and ideas for the new year, and though I may not have as huge an audience as I did last year, I hope you’ll all stick around and enjoy what I have in store.
I can’t thank all of you enough for your awesome messages, comments, and all-around support through not just this year but my entire career. You have fed me emotionally, spiritually, and literally, and there are no amount of words to convey how truly grateful I am for you all.
Please have a wonderful holiday season, drink a little too much, eat a little too much, and hold those you love a little tighter and a little longer than is necessary. Because at the end of the day, isn’t that what this life is all about?
