YOU’RE IN THE AIR
Hope. Life. Possibilities. At my most beautiful, life is grand and beautiful. Pretty dang good. When one door closes, another opens, or maybe God opens a window, or maybe, inevitably, we just shut the fuck up and get on with life.
That’s pretty much where my mind and mood currently is. Seems like every corporation or national entity is trying to restrict what I do, and I could either collapse over keep pushing through. Earlier this week I wanted to give up, walk away. But as the days have passed, I’ve been reminded over and over that I was an artist long before social media, and I will be an artist long after. And to all the young, immature, egomaniacal haters who are always criticizing anything I do yet copying my techniques, I hope you all the complications and failures and hard-earned successes I’ve spend the last fifteen years building up.
I’m sorry for the rants, for the moods, for the confusions. I’m better, or at least I’m getting there. This year has been one professional hit after another, and at times I’ve thought about completely giving up. My DMs are filled daily with people hating on me and my work, on what I do and how I do it. The hardest part is simply ignoring them all and pushing forward, but I’m doing it.
