BY MY SIDE
Soft, sensitive, warm, complete. That feeling of contentment when you’re lying in the arms of someone you truly love, that you are completely vulnerable with, a person who understands you in a way you feel comfortable with.
Life is funny how it can surprise you. A year ago I had written off love, written off that level of contentment, realizing that if this is how good life was going to get, I shouldn’t really complain. I had everything I needed: a roof over my head, a few dollars in the bank, and a loving and supportive family. But there was still an emptiness.
Suddenly, all of that changed. A lunch meeting with a friend turned into a 9.5 hour date, and we’ve been happily together ever since. Some days are more challenging than others, but there has never been an unbearable day, a bad day where things went wrong. Even when there has been misunderstandings, it’s been resolved in minutes after simply talking it out.
I’m a very lucky man. Always have been. And hopefully, sometime in the near future, I’ll be given the greatest gift of all.
This series of Erika looks the way my heart feels currently. Soft, warm, full of love and subtlety, revealing as much as is required and is necessary. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do. Have a great weekend!
