SUNSHINE SURPRISE
Summer is coming, and just the idea of it brightens children’s smiles and relaxes the most stressed of adults. Visions of pool parties and sunbathing and vacations abound, and you can’t help but be lost in the hopes of some rest and nostalgia for summers passed.
We Californians are spoiled, with weather often appearing like summer almost year round. I grew up with no clouds in the sky, a flat, blue sky of calm and ease. I never thought of what outfit to wear, easily blew off my mom’s insistence that I wear a jacket, and ran around barefoot as often as I could get away with it.
This series of Tazia easily sums up that mood, that feeling that all was right with the world and the future months were full of fun and open uncertainty. Guiltless enjoyment, no repercussions or reprisals, what happened during summer stayed in those simple three months.
Tazia’s beauty, grace, and natural ease with the camera, her body, and herself make her a perfect model, and though she constantly doubts herself, she is truly one of the best and most instinctual beauties I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Enjoy this series, I’m sure you will!
