THE END IS NEAR

With the end of the year wrapping up, I’m trying to squeeze out as many folders of images to you as possible. Here are two great sets of Carlotta Champagne, a veteran model who has been featured in Playboy several times. She earned her degree in art many years ago, which evolved into modeling, which she never had any plans for yet has become a huge part of her life.

Unlike many of the younger, immature, and vapid models I have met over the years, Carlotta is determined, focused, hardworking, and highly aware of whom she is. Almost obsessed with all things cheesy and kitsch, she loved being at the Madonna Inn for a recent group shoot organized by another model/photographer, and I was lucky enough to have many of the women involved interested in working with me. I tried to make time for as many as possible, but only managed to shoot with 7 of the 13 in four days before they left.

Carlotta is one of those models that you wish you had more time with. We got along quite easily from the very beginning, and though some people think she’s serious and stern, she really is just somewhat reserved. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a lot of fun, and I was proud to get her to laugh out loud and smile several times as we shot together.
