IT’S SUMMER EVERY DAY
I was fortunate to grow up on the Central Coast of California. The sky is almost perpetually cloudless the entire year, a flat blue sky of calm and ease. The weather can get a little hot, but being on the coast it’s most Mediterranean temperatures. It never becomes too cold and the leaves turn dry but don’t change in that Vermont/upstate New York kind of way. Still you can surf pretty much all year long, go hiking and camping, engage in water sports, and find eager women to pose in bikinis.
I try not to complain, though am always disheartened when my fellow Californians do. Sure, up in Northern California it gets blisteringly cold and snowy, and part of Eastern and Southern California are so hot they should be more repellent than they are. But where I’m at, I couldn’t ask for better.
Reed wasn’t incredibly excited about getting in this pool in Van Nuys, California, just north of LA, but she new the colors looked great and had confidence in my abilities, so she took the plunge. She doubted her floating abilities, and she was right, but she still looked great doing it all.
Enjoy this fun set, it was a blast shooting it at my new favorite place, the Cricket Ranch in Van Nuys!
