BANG BANG

If some of you haven’t fallen in love with Zoe yet, then hat the hell have you been doing with your time?!

(By the way, did you know that punctuation symbol - ?! - is called an interrobang? I learned this only a couple of years ago and I still marvel at it. Anyway…)

Here is the very last set I shot of Zoe at my house about a month or so ago, and I truly love this for several reasons. First of all, my place is tiny. Like..really tiny. Like…so tiny you’d be shocked to know where I live, in a minuscule apartment behind a house in a small housing tract. I’m bad at gauging square footage, but I had an architectural designer friend once say it was very small. So I decided to make it a bit more spacious by emptying the tiny hallway I had of clutter and leaving the walls as bare as I could make them. I removed a bookshelf, moved all the lighting equipment I had stacked in that corner, and voila! A new corner to shoot in!

Secondly, Zoe is just stunning, and when she put on that cheesy old slip I have, I just knew anything I took of her would be great. And lastly, given the space had changed, I could literally stand in my doorway and shoot across the entire living room/kitchen and capture her down that hallway, lit by the bathroom lights simply by opening the bathroom door. I’m hoping to move in about a year or so, but for now I’m trying to make the most of what I’ve got.

As for the posing and such, there isn’t much to say. Zoe, for all her outward bravado, is truly a sensitive, gentle soul and I try to always capture that in our images. I’ve given her enough exposure in the last few months that she might be having some huge projects on the horizon, so if I were you I’d follow her on social media in eager anticipation.

Other than that….I’ve got nothing. I’m totally dry here, guys. I took three days off of my day job just to sit and edit photos for fifteen hours a day in order to just catch up. But the good news is I think I am making headway. By the end of November I hope to be shooting ALL NEW work, some crazy new experimenting, and more.
