THAT WAS JUST A DREAM

On a summer afternoon several summers ago, I picked up Alina, known online as “OhThumbelina,” in downtown Los Angeles and headed to Griffith Park. We had never met before, but it didn’t take long for her to laugh at my cheesy jokes and sarcasm. She was a bit quiet and shy as you’d expect from her ethereal image, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have opinions on matters. She was strong and confident, knowing what she liked and what she didn’t. I liked her a lot, though was clearly aware that the bond we creating was more professional than friendly.

These images are simple and soft and solitary, but overall the afternoon was surprisingly light and enjoyable. I don’t have much more to say about it, but the song I’m currently listening to fits this series well, including the mood and double exposure experiments towards the end of the folder of images.
