AWAKENINGS

Last Sunday I had noticed a young woman had liked several of my images on Instagram, and clicking on her profile I discovered she had a stunning face. She was bubbly and adorable and had that perfect "commercial" look. I messaged her and asked if she'd ever been interested in modeling, and by the next day we had arranged a test shoot for later in the week.

Tazia (pronounced Tah-Zee-Uh) is 18 years old, a waitress in a nearby town, and a total hippie. She likes to smoke weed, sunbathe nude, and not give a fuck. But with that said, she's incredibly sweet and self-deprecating, and you can easily see her playful in nature in these first sample images. She came over Wednesday night and was an absolute doll. Open, honest, sincere, yet clearly searching for meaning in her newly adult world.

She kept treating me like a celebrity, fawning over any amount of miniscule praise I gave her and thanking me profusely for just giving her a chance to be in my presence. I continually found this laughable and told her so, but she refused to see me as otherwise while I continued to just roll my eyes.

Being a nudist, she was more than comfortable stripping down and showing off, which of course was more than appreciated. She claimed to have been overweight during her early high school years, thus was embarrassed of her slight sagging skin on her chest, wishing she had high, perky breasts. I told her she was more than adequate, and if anyone ever complained, they simply didn’t deserve to be near her lovely chest. She liked that sentiment.

The shoot went on far longer than I thought it would, with her staying over for over three hours chatting about life, walking around naked, posing and being silly for the camera, sucking up all the attention she clearly hadn’t received from her recently ex-boyfriend. We hit it off pretty well, and as is often the case, made plans for so much more in the future. Though talk is one thing, delivering is another.
