ON YOUR MERRY WAY

As mentioned previously, Jessamyne Rose is a breath of fresh air. I can never say enough about how much fun she is in person.

She had driven up to spend the weekend with me and we had discussed many plans. On the way to a nearby winery, we decided to pull over on a deserted road to shoot some pics. Thankfully I had a few bodysuits stowed away in my backseat, and she had no qualms of slipping them on in the middle of the open road.

“I keep seeing the same poses in all my images, so watch me and call me out if I keep making the standard poses.” I assured her I knew her body and poses well enough at that point to know exactly when she was repeating her previous work.

We first shot in the middle of the road using her large, broad hat to protect her very pale, fair, delicate skin, and soon had her change outfits into a very sheer bodysuit that we could shoot in the shade. Having been a dancer, she stretched and posed using a nearby barbed wire fence as a balance beam, and I comforted her by saying I had never seen her arch and stretch in those poses before.

Wanting a change of pace and feeling brave, I “adjusted” a link in the barbed wire fence and we were soon able to get over to the other side to shoot in the tall grass. Staying mindful of keeping her paper-white skin out of the sun, we continued to talk and laugh while shooting in the shade. Still feeling still and repetitive again, I knew she needed to do something to shake off her standard moves, so I instructed her to jump around.

“You mean, just like…jump?” she asked in her alluring Australian accent. Yes, go for it, I suggested, and soon enough, there she was, hopping up and down. She couldn’t’ stop laughing and I told her to just go with it. Soon she was jumping and spinning, and unable to know when exactly to shoot, I just held the shutter button down and assumed after five or six long series of jumps I’d have captured something work sharing with you all here on Patreon.

Once she finally stopped and caught her breath, her endorphins were pumping and she was in an even more chipper mood than usual. The next stage of our adventure led us further down the pathway that had been carved out by the landowner’s bevy of bovine we had seen earlier. Now we were in a grove of heavy thicket shrubs, which stung both of us repeatedly, but made for a pretty setting, so we stayed as long as we could.

Once again, after a series of poses we both felt too comfortable shooting, she laughing suggested jumping again, and away she went as I continued to click away.

Knowing our wine was waiting for us, and realizing the photo job I had booked that evening would be rapidly approaching, we decided to climb back over the precarious fence, get her dressed somewhat properly, and finally drive off.

It really wasn’t more than half an hour worth of shooting, but it was a great start to a really fun, memorable visit, as they all are with her.
