Taste of Italy
On July 3rd, a little over a month from now, I’ll be leaving for a three week trip to Italy. A friend is getting married in Salerno and made me promise to attend, so I decided to take both my mom and my aunt, neither of whom have ever traveled to any other country except Mexico. It will be a long, hectic trip, but it will also be a lot of fun. I look forward to discovering more about one of my favorite countries.
So with Italy on my mind, here is a quick series I shot with my new friend, Roberta Sparta. A native of Northern Italy, she is a working actress who lives in Santa Monica, California. Her apartment is one story below the penthouse overlooking the beach and Pacific Coast Highway, not a bad location if you can afford it. She films all over the world in low budget films that pay very well, and having a fiancé who owns his own comic book company doesn’t hurt, either.
I exited the elevator and I walked down the hall to her apartment, passing double doors for each apartment that looked similar to movies I’d seen. The place looked more like a set for a Bob Hope film of the 1950s or a set on Mad Men rather than a working apartment building. She quickly greeted me at the door and within minutes was wearing one of my bodysuits on her bed, peeling it off and sharing stories of her travels. We talked nonstop for the next hour or more, and she was gracious enough to answer all of the questions I had about the new destinations I’d be visiting in Italy this time around.
Next we shot on her balcony overlooking PCH, which felt quite Mediterranean. I couldn’t get enough of that location, making her change outfits a few times but refusing to leave the balcony area. Her view was simply spectacular, and her beauty, enthusiasm, and easy-going nature made the shoot seem about as perfect as one could ask for.
We finally ended our shoot back on the bed, shooting quickly because she and I both needed to head off to fulfill our busy schedules. We have plans to shoot again in the future, and I’m proud to say I’ve helped expand her Instagram following enough for her to finally begin building a larger brand name for herself.
Did you like Roberta? Let me know by leaving comments in the box below or in my DMs! And thank you as always for your continued support!!
