CLEAN UP
Erin has one of the most incredible and contrasting body shapes I’ve ever come across. Thin, almost waifish in her frame, her silhouette almost contradicts itself by sporting a large, ample, and perky chest that completely catches you off guard.
Erin had been a stage grip at the local community college and had reached out to me for some photos after seeing so many of her dancer friends posing for me. She seemed a bit too tomboyish for me, but I thought I’d give her a test shoot at least. Halfway through the test shoot, she mentioned growing up around artists and being free with her body. Covered in layers, I assumed she was a bit shy and self-conscious about her body, so when she offered to take her top off, I had no idea what to expect. Suddenly, she took her shirt off and there was this gargantuan bra, which soon was unclasped, revealing a chest that I simply did not expect.
It turned out she had developed early in life, and since kids can be so horrible, she was teased mercilessly about her large breasts, vowing to keep them under wraps, which she had successfully done. But now she was ready to let them loose.
These shower photos were taken almost a year later. We weren’t sure what we were doing that day, so I advised her to just strip and get in the shower. “Geez, let me take at least a few with my shirt on so I can share them with the family!” she scolded me, slightly sarcastically, but also clearly meaning it. Erin was strong-willed and always spoke her mind.
We shot several with her shirt on, getting the shower’s heat exactly to her liking before starting. We talked through the glass in the cramped bathroom, but with the unusually loud showerhead and the steam fogging up my lens, it was hard to communicate and we both kept shouting “WHAT?!”
Eventually she did take her shirt off, and that’s when the images became magical. The bathroom walls were painted a soft orange tint that almost matched her skin tone, so all of a sudden the photos took on an almost monochromatic look. With how she appeared behind the frosted glass of the shower door, I began to geek out. “You look like the Shroud of Turin, this is so cool!” I screamed.
“Only YOU would be taking photos of a girl’s tits and reference a religious icon!” she responded, and we both laughed at my nerdiness and love of history.
We continued to shoot like that for another half hour or so, or until the water began to run cold. I found her a towel and left her to clean up while I went back out into the living room and cleaned off the mist of moisture from my camera. There wasn’t much to the overall shoot, but it was a fun diversion from the other work I needed to get done on the computer that day.
