If you're familiar with MeMeMe, you probably recognize her from the Girl music video. If not, here it is: https://vimeo.com/248406668

I think I really wanted to learn how to work with delicate fabrics and make my own lingerie. So that's why I chose this project (and to have a hoe cosplay to wear at Anime Expo lol). I also wanted to try to make a twintail wig too.

While my cosplay of this character looks great from far away, up close there are lots of sloppy seams (and the wig has a lot of hot glue). With that being said, I hope this post helps if you want to make this cosplay. I will try and give some recommendations on what I feel I should have done.

I also didn't take too many pictures of my progress, so apologies for that.

Materials

Wand and Little Start pins

I bought the files for the want from here. I printed it from PLA and cleaned it up, filled the gaps and primed it. Then I painted it.

For the little star pins on the garters and bow, I found a star guardian star .stl file and resized it to fit. Same process with the wand, I printed, primed and sanded each little start before painting.

Wig

THE WIG. Well, I've never until now attempted a twin tail wig. I think my main mistake was using a wig that was too short. I also should have been way neater with my glue- I was using a high temp glue gun so I burned my fingers lots, resulting in messy glue seams

First thing I did was separate the wig into a left and right half, making two little twin tails as markers of where I would put the buns. This should be easy and look really smooth with a longer wig. I then started gluing extra hair along the part, securing it in the extra hair in the little twintails I marked off.

I used hot glue for everything here, I also glued some extra hair around the bottom and sides of the wig. Once all the  wefts were added, I secured each twintail with an elastic.

I then started the bangs, gluing extra wefts for the long hairs on the left and right. I trimmed the bangs so they sit at my eye level. For the buns, I just wrapped the twintails like I was doing a bun in my own hair, gluing as I went along. I sprayed the whole wig with hairspray to finish it.

Garters

I found this great youtube tutorial on how to make bridal garters, check it out here. I used two different kinds of yellow lace and two sizes of ribbons. The tutorial video explains it way better than I can.

Underwear

I used a bikini bottom as a pattern, and sewed them up-double layers because yellow can be see through. I made the bands out of the same lace as the garters. Easy!

Shift

Is it a shift? I don't know what the top is called. This was another part of the cosplay I struggled with. I had chosen this really soft pretty fabric, but it was so hard to work with... My sewing machine ate it! I would use an organza if I were to make it again, it I think it would be easier to sew.

The first thing I did was try to make the boob-cups with cup inserts. It looked terrible. Instead I made a triangle bikini top with nude fabric and covered it in the blue fabric. I used the elastic as straps. The 'skirt' part was just 3 petal shapes that I pinned on and sewed up. All the ruffles were sewn on. I added some beads as well.

Because of the elastic, I didn't want to make the straps match exactly. Instead I made a ruffled chocker necklace to sort of match.

The little bows were just ribbon I glued in bow shapes and pinned or glued on.

Head Band

I covered it with some pink satin fabric and hot glued little fake flowers.

Pretty simple? No. Well it seems easier than it actually was. Thanks for reading and I hope you learned something cool!
