08/16 Progress Report

This week's Dropbox files have been updated with our latest build, which features an in-depth bodily accessories content addition, including body piercings, crotch tattoos, nipple piercings, and more.

The main focus this week is the new bodily implant system, which lets the protagonist implant a whole new type of accessories on their body. I initially considered only adding nipple piercings to the game, but I decided to go further and upgrade the entire body interface, allowing players to freely customize the protagonist as they want.

Body Accessories Interface

When you enter Chapter Two, the "Tattoo Integration Node" will be replaced by the Body Accessories Interface. While the 'tattoo machine' is a viable method to lower Rey's corruption, it uses a highly potent ink that can permanently alter one's body, and thus can only be used restrictively by a medical professional. To replace the large tattoos all over Rey's body, Kate suggests a more subtle method: piercings and thin, layered tattoos near one's reproductive organs.

The interface has a series of utilities. If you hover over each button, you'll see how the accessory will appear on Rey's body. The name of the implant, its effects, and Kate's impressions will also be shown. As seen in the interface, there are eight piercings in total: four nipple piercings and four body piercings. You can press the hand holding the tattoo machine to switch to the tattoo interface.

As you might discover from the picture, there's an unfamiliar stat called 'Love' alongside the base stat upgrades. It indicates Kate's preferences for each accessory; the bolder the accessory, the more 'Love' you get. What started as a simple method to lower the protagonist's corruption will become a struggle to win their fiancé's feelings as Kate's story unfolds.

Piercings

There are four nipple piercings and four body piercings. The body piercings are rather subtle, a fashion statement for those who want to be rebellious. Nipple piercings are quite large and will require breast enlargement upgrades to be visible on the player's GUI (the effects will still apply regardless of enlargement). Note that these are the 'tamest' accessories currently available. While Kate is still affectionate toward Rey, she will be implementing more 'practical' accessories that won't hinder his movements.

Tattoos

There are four crotch tattoos available. While they are smaller and thinner than the giant tattoos crudely implemented by Ash, they are still considered permanent marks and will show up in the status GUI as wounds. I'm planning to unlock bolder (and suggestive) tattoos as Kate's corruption arc unfolds.

Poll Results

There were four preference options to choose from. 'Feminization without consent' is in the lead, followed closely by the other options (with the exception of the space STD option, which will be reworked as an 'Abnormality'). As this update allows for the visual representation of Rey's feminization methods, this week's polls will be about how Rey will be forced into feminization.
