Tycoon Actor C281 Sequel project

Lucas and Jennifer stepped through the doors of the Lionsgate Studio, their every step ushered along by attentive staff members. As the main characters of the upcoming "Hunger Games" sequel, they had become high-profile stars overnight. They were directed to a private suite where the rest of the cast waited for a script read-through.

As they entered the room, Lucas scanned the room and saw Liam Hemsworth, Jack Quaid, and Sandra Lafferty seated, already engaged in conversations. When he and Jennifer walked in, all three turned their heads in unison, as if sensing their presence. Jack Quaid, a huge grin on his face, was the first to speak. "Well, well, speak of the devil! Our two young stars have finally graced us with their presence."

The three cast members were just discussing Lucas and Jennifer, unsurprisingly, considering the two had become the talk of the internet following their recent sighting in New York City. As the main leads of a highly anticipated film, their rumored relationship was fodder for the tabloids. While they were all seasoned professionals, they were still human, and couldn't help but gossip about the buzz-worthy couple when they weren't around.

Lucas flashed a smile at Jack as they took their seats. "Hey there, always a pleasure."

Jennifer followed suit, shooting the room a cheeky grin. "What? You've never seen two good-looking people sit together before?"

Jack chuckled, waving her off. "Nothing, nothing. Just glad you two could join us."

Sandra smiled, amused by the banter as she thought to herself, 'It's nice to be young and in love again.'

As Lucas and Jennifer sat down, their closeness was hard to miss. Liam, who had harbored a secret crush on Jennifer, couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. He knew he had no right to interfere in their private lives, but part of him couldn't help but wonder if the rumors were true. Were Lucas and Jennifer really dating?

Liam shrugged it off, deciding to stay focused on the script reading. Their personal lives were their own business, after all.

During the script read-through, every glance, every touch, and every stifled laugh between Lucas and Jennifer made it painfully obvious that their relationship had crossed the line of mere friendship. Jack, trying to lighten the mood, decided to tease them. "You two are sitting so close, you might just end up exchanging faces if you're not careful."

Sandra added playfully, "Yeah, but honestly, you're both so good-looking, even with swapped faces, you'd still be a stunning pair!"

Lucas and Jennifer blushed, but didn't deny the accusations. They weren't offended by their co-stars' jokes; in fact, they were relieved that their little secret wasn't as well-kept as they thought.

Jennifer laughed, but then immediately regretted her next words. "Can you imagine? Kissing my own face and lips? Eww, that'd be so gross!"

The room fell silent. The elephant in the room, which they'd all been trying to ignore, was now standing in the spotlight, trumpeting for attention. The teasing expressions on their co-stars' faces shifted to shock, quickly replaced by curious interest. It was one thing to speculate, but hearing it from Jennifer's own lips was another thing altogether.

Jennifer mentally cursed herself. 'I slipped.' She thought, her cheeks on fire, her thoughts racing. 'I thought I was ready for this, but…'

She had thought she was finally ready to come clean about their relationship, but it seemed her nerves got the better of her. After all, her career was still in its infancy, and she had so much more to achieve.

Jack's jaw dropped, "You two... You're really dating?"

Sandra added, a hand over her mouth in shock, "The rumors are true?"

Liam's heart sank, but he maintained a neutral expression. He'd had a crush on Jennifer for a while now, but it seemed he'd always been too late to act on his feelings.

Jennifer's defenses went up immediately. "Yes, we are in a relationship. Is there a problem with that?"

Sandra quickly reassured her, "No, no, dear. It's perfectly normal for young people to date, I'm not surprised at all." She gave them a warm smile, hoping to diffuse the tension.

Jack nodded in agreement with Sandra, but then turned to Lucas with a playful jab. "Well, you two better brace yourselves. It's one thing for us to know, but when the rest of the world finds out... let's just say there's gonna be some heartbroken fangirls out there."

Lucas couldn't help but chuckle nervously, "I know, believe me, I know."

Jack patted him on the back. "Hey, as long as you're happy, man. That's all that matters. Plus, don't you worry, you can count on us not to spill the beans."

Sandra nodded as well, a glint in her eyes. "You can count on me too." she reassured. In her mind, however, she was already scheming to share the juicy gossip with her friends, albeit withholding the names of the famous stars involved. Nothing like a bit of harmless speculation to spice up their weekly get-togethers!

Jack turned to Liam, who had been noticeably quiet since Jennifer and Lucas's announcement. "What about you, Liam? Will you keep their secret too?"

Liam shrugged nonchalantly, his expression unreadable. "I don't really care that much." His response seemed to catch both Jack and Sandra off-guard, considering his earlier interest in the gossip when the two wasn't present.

Jennifer smiled at her castmates. "Thank you, everyone. But I'm already prepared for our relationship to be revealed. So, it doesn't matter."

Jack nodded, "Alright, just think about it. I don't want to meddle in your relationship, but you know where to find me if you need advice. As for me, my lips are sealed." He zipped his lips for emphasis.

Lucas nodded in understanding, appreciating the support.

Sandra, sensing the slightly awkward moment, decided to change the subject. "Alright, let's get back to work, shall we? We're here to work, after all, so let's leave our personal lives aside for now."

Everyone agreed and refocused on the script. As they continued with the table read, some cast members helped each other with specific lines or scenes, making sure they understood the context and emotion behind the words.

As the day's rehearsal progressed, Lucas found himself enjoying the cooperation among the cast members. He appreciated how everyone's collective input made the reading more enriching than if they had all stuck to their own understanding of their roles. Jack and Sandra were both likable, and while he didn't quite understand Liam's behavior, he chalked it up to the news about him and Jennifer.

As the clock ticked by, another cast member joined them—Toby Jones. Toby greeted everyone, including Sandra, Liam, and then Lucas and Jennifer.

"What's up, man? You've become even more handsome since the last time I saw you," Toby joked as he pulled Lucas into a light hug.

Lucas playfully acted as if he were overconfident. "Well, you're the only one who noticed," he teased.

Toby laughed, "Are you an impostor? The Lucas I know would've denied my compliment!"

Everyone shared a light laugh at that, easing the tension in the air slightly.

Toby sighed dramatically, "I can feel the change in the air, it's a shame." He shook his head as he took a seat next to Lucas.

Lucas smiled, "You're right, things are always changing."

"Everything's changing around here except for your height, Toby," a familiar voice boomed from the doorway. Stanley Tucci, a key member of the first Hunger Games film, had made his entrance, and the room felt even more complete.

Toby pretended to be offended, despite knowing it was all in good fun, "You got a problem with short kings?" he joked, feigning a huff.

The banter between Toby and Stanley lightened the mood in the room as they all settled in for the script read-through.

A few days flew by since the table read, and now the cast had gathered for a production meeting with the director and producers. They were going to discuss their roles and the direction of the film in greater detail. Lucas, especially, found himself being taken more seriously by the producers, and rightfully so. After all, he had a track record of contributing not only to the acting but also to the creative direction of the film.

During the meeting, the producers expressed their gratitude for Lucas's input during the script read-through, "You've got a good eye for pacing, Lucas. Your feedback from the last table read really helped us tighten up some loose ends in the script. We're lucky to have you on board."

Lucas smiled, "Thank you, I'm just glad I could help."

The director chimed in, "And speaking of your contributions, we'd love to hear the song you've been working on for the film. We all remember how well your composition fit into the first 'Hunger Games'."

Lucas nodded, "I've been working on something, and I'd be honored to share it with you all."

The other cast members couldn't help but notice the favor the producers and director showed Lucas, but it didn't come as a surprise. After all, he had proven himself both as an actor and a composer in the first "Hunger Games" film. Plus, he was already a rising star in Hollywood, having won an Oscar at such a young age.

Days flew by, and the production team scouted for filming locations. They finally settled on the the state of Georgia, Atlanta.

The cast was given the option to visit the filming location before shooting commenced, to familiarize themselves with the surroundings. Lucas and Jennifer, along with some other cast members, eagerly jumped at the opportunity to explore the area and soak up the atmosphere.

Upon arriving in Georgia, the actors were whisked away to their respective luxury accommodations in Atlanta. The production team had pulled out all the stops, booking them into a five-star hotel with a breathtaking view of the cityscape.
