Saitama strode forward, instantly catching the assistant's attention.
"Eek!!!" The assistant stumbled and landed unceremoniously on his backside.
The onlookers regarded Saitama as if he were a monstrous figure.
Saitama calmly took the money from the assistant and began counting it. "I'll be taking this..."
Helplessly, the assistant watched as Saitama walked away with the money.
The crowd parted to allow Saitama to pass without any hindrance.
---
Saitama was in high spirits as he collected nearly 130 thousand zeni from his adversary.
He had hit the jackpot this time, and this money should cover his bills for at least a few months.
Despite this, he continued to search for job opportunities. Then, he spotted a wanted poster featuring a criminal worth a million zeni.
Regrettably, Saitama had no clue where to find such a criminal, so he brushed it off and continued his job hunt.
He scoured the cities, attempting to secure positions like a waiter or bodyguard, but his bald head made people hesitant to trust him.
This left Saitama feeling frustrated. He even applied for a delivery driver position, but they turned him down, leaving him with no choice but to travel to Satan City.
---
Satan City, while less prosperous than West City, offered more job opportunities to Saitama. West City had already embraced automation, leading to a decrease in demand for labor and leaving Saitama, with his peculiar appearance and attire, without job prospects in small businesses.
Who would hire a bald man in such an unconventional outfit, after all?
Saitama, a former cancer patient, didn't realize this and continued on his way to Satan City.
Upon arriving in Satan City, he noticed its resemblance to his previous life's Earth, unlike the advanced West City.
<Satan City>
As he strolled through the streets, people couldn't help but notice his gleaming bald head.
Saitama almost couldn't bear the attention and contemplated wearing a cap.
"Maybe I should look for hair growth products," Saitama pondered.
The system remained silent.
Saitama persisted in his job search until he was finally accepted as a truck driver tasked with escorting money.
Tears welled up in Saitama's eyes as he asked the plump manager with gratitude, "Are you really hiring me?"
The manager chuckled, "Of course! You seem fit, and I trust you."
"Thank you!" Saitama expressed his gratitude.
"Just change your outfit, okay? Put on this company uniform," the manager handed Saitama a driver's uniform, and he eagerly accepted it.
With that, Saitama's days continued as a truck driver.
---
After a month of working as a truck driver, Saitama was casually driving the truck, albeit a bit slowly, in his opinion. Nonetheless, he had no complaints since he was being paid for the job.
Suddenly, a group of sports cars blocked his path, filled with individuals who seemed like thugs accompanied by attractive women.
Saitama initially thought they were just showing off, but his attention was drawn to one burly guy who was carrying a rifle.
One of the thugs tapped on the driver's side window, where Saitama sat, and shouted, "Hey! Open the door for us!"
Saitama heard them but didn't react; instead, he scratched his head in annoyance.
Thinking that Saitama, the truck driver, didn't hear them, the burly guy took a metal bat and slammed it against the truck's window, causing it to shatter, and Saitama's expression to turn into a frown.
The tall, burly thug unlocked the truck's door and looked at Saitama with a smirk, while other thugs and some women pointed guns at him.
One of the thugs demanded, "You bald freak, open the back door of the truck so we can get the money!"
"Don't keep us waiting, you freak!" a woman exclaimed.
Saitama's forehead displayed veins of annoyance. Just as he was about to react, a voice suddenly shouted,
"Are all of you daring to commit a crime in broad daylight!?"
The thugs were taken aback as they heard the voice, and even Saitama looked in the direction of the source.
It was a teenage girl in a white shirt with long hair, who appeared out of nowhere. She was short but looked determined.
Saitama observed her and thought, 'Oh, I didn't expect to meet Videl here.' He watched the 13-year-old Videl with interest.
The thugs were irritated by a young girl interfering with their business.
"Don't meddle, brat, or you'll regret it," one of the thugs warned.
But the burly guy chimed in, "Don't hurt her! She looks beautiful! I want to enjoy her before we finish her off!"
"It might be a good idea to enslave her instead," another thug added with a chuckle.
"Scum!" Videl gritted her teeth in anger upon hearing the thugs' remarks. With determination, she rushed towards them, surprising the thugs with her agility.
The thugs initially intended to play along with her, but they quickly realized she was too skilled and ended up knocking one of them out.
"You brat! Let's not hold back anymore!" the burly guy declared, his tone turning serious.
The blonde thug grabbed his metal bat and swung it at Videl. She was initially fearless but froze when she noticed one of the women pointing a gun at her, clearly intent on shooting. Videl sensed the danger and tried to dodge, but in doing so, she inadvertently exposed herself to the oncoming metal bat.
'No!!!' Videl closed her eyes in panic.
However, the expected pain never came. Instead, she heard a loud gunshot and kept her eyes shut, convinced she had been hit. After a moment, she realized she felt no pain.
With trepidation, Videl slowly opened her eyes and was astonished to find a bald man, still wearing his driver's suit, had suddenly appeared in front of her.
