SETW C3 Mistaken

Early in the morning, Saitama scoured Papaya Island in search of employment. However, it quickly became evident that finding a job on the island would be a challenge. Most opportunities seemed to require venturing to another continent or city.

Despite Papaya Island being a small continent with a compact city, Saitama struggled to secure any job. It struck him as odd that the presence of humanoid animals was more common here than his distinctive bald head.

While wandering near the martial arts temple, a person who appeared to be a monk approached him.

"Hey, fellow monk, why are you dressed like that?" the monk inquired as he neared Saitama.

Saitama began to explain when another monk interjected, "Come on, Budokai Tenkaichi prohibits monks from wearing such peculiar attire." The monk guided Saitama without further ado.

Saitama, now perplexed, asked, "Um... Where are you taking me, exactly?"

The monk was slightly taken aback by Saitama's question. "What do you mean, 'where'? We're going to the temple! You need to change into appropriate monk attire!"

The other monk added, "That's correct. Afterward, you'll assist us in delivering milk to other houses and performing chores."

Saitama found himself momentarily speechless. However, when he heard the word 'chores,' he realized this could be an opportunity for employment. "Chores? Will I receive compensation for doing chores?"

The monks were surprised by Saitama's question. One of them replied, "What do you mean? You're a monk, one of us. You're seeking payment? Haven't you read the scriptures?"

"Yeah! We shouldn't desire money but peace!" another monk chimed in.

"Young man, you'd better revisit the scriptures..." the senior monk advised.

Saitama felt utterly dumbfounded and confessed, "Actually, guys, I'm not a monk..."

They fell into a brief silence before bursting into laughter. "Hahaha!"

Saitama frowned, his brows furrowing. "What's so funny?"

The senior monk struggled to suppress his laughter and explained, "Haha! With a head like yours, we're absolutely certain you're a monk!"

Another younger monk exclaimed amidst laughter, "Hahaha! Your head is blessed by the Buddhas! I could spot a monk from a mile away with a head like that!"

The monk next to him chimed in while laughing, "Hahaha, that's right! Don't try to deceive us, young man. Your head shines cleaner than all of ours combined!!!"

As Saitama heard their unanimous opinions, he felt his facial muscles twitch. His expression darkened slightly, and beads of sweat formed on the back of his head.

This was probably the only thing he regretted about being Saitama. Now he could empathize with the original Saitama's feelings. It wasn't as pleasant and amusing as he had thought it would be.

The monks noticed Saitama's expression and attempted to lighten the mood. "Anyway, I can see that your head is blessed by the Buddha's hands, so let's go and change your outfit."

Afterwards, the monks escorted Saitama to the temple.

Despite Saitama's efforts to explain himself, the monks simply laughed it off and remained unconvinced.

Upon reaching the temple, the monks provided Saitama with a designated area and left him there after giving him monk clothing.

Saitama felt helpless about the situation. "What now, system... I can't go back to the apartment now," he said in frustration.

"Young monk, have you finished changing? Hurry up, we still need to deliver milk and do chores! If you're feeling tired, you can have breakfast in the canteen," the senior monk's voice came from the other side of the wall.

"Yeah, I'll be right there," Saitama replied casually.
