Chapter 38 Suneo House Tour

Suneo's mother appeared in the distance and hurriedly walked in front of Ken, saying, "You're here, you're here, Ken. We've prepared this just for you," with a warm smile.

Ken gratefully replied, "Thank you. I hope I haven't caused you any trouble."

Suneo's mother chuckled, "Oh, don't worry about it," and then led Ken inside the house, where Suneo, Doraemon, and Nobita were waiting to welcome him.

"Ken, you're here," Suneo grinned and asked, "What do you think?"

Ken looked puzzled and inquired, "Think about what?" glancing at Suneo.

Suneo clarified, "I mean, what do you think of our house?" while Doraemon and Nobita exchanged amused glances.

Ken nodded and replied, "Your house is impressive, actually, quite amazing," he added, glancing around in astonishment.

Suneo and his mother exchanged satisfied smiles, knowing their efforts to impress Ken had paid off.

Doraemon and Nobita exchanged knowing looks and shrugged.

"Let's eat first, and then we can show you our rooms!" Suneo suggested cheerfully.

Ken inquired, "What about Shizuka and Gian? Didn't you invite them?" wondering if Suneo had prepared all of this just for him, which didn't seem like Suneo's style without their friends.

Suneo assured him, "Of course, I did! They should be here any minute now."

Ding Dong.

The doorbell rang, and everyone assumed it must be Shizuka and Gian.

"It's probably them," Doraemon commented, looking at Suneo.

Suneo nodded and subtly signaled Doraemon with his eyes. Seeing this, Doraemon sighed in resignation.

Doraemon tapped on the remote for the Anything Reform Set gadget hidden in one of Suneo's rooms. He discreetly held the remote and after a series of taps, the 3D scenes displayed on the walls changed to show the outside of Suneo's house gate.

In front of the gate, Shizuka and Gian were waiting. Suneo glanced at Ken's expression and was pleased to see Ken's surprise.

"Abraka dara, open my grand gate!" Suneo exclaimed the gate's password, and to everyone's amazement, the gate opened by itself.

Shizuka and Gian outside were equally astonished and wondered if it was being opened by a ghost. Nonetheless, they proceeded and walked up to the door.

Suneo grinned proudly as he showcased his voice-activated gate. However, when he tried to open the front door, it wouldn't budge.

Ken noticed Suneo's struggle and asked, "What's wrong?" as he approached Suneo.

Suneo tried to dismiss it, saying, "Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it," even though he sensed something was amiss with the door but didn't want Ken to see it.

Suneo subtly gestured to Doraemon, who reluctantly had to explain the situation to Suneo.

"Wait here for a moment, Ken," Suneo said to Ken as he and Doraemon moved away to have a private conversation.

"Why won't the door open?" Suneo asked, furrowing his brow in confusion.

Doraemon then explained, "Well, since my gadget converted your door into a voice-controlled one, it will only open with your voice and the specific commands you registered on the connected device." Doraemon said hesitantly.

Suneo frowned and sought clarification, "So, you mean I can't physically open the door, and it only responds to my voice and registered commands?"

Doraemon nodded, bracing for Suneo's reaction.

"Hahaha, I guess that's alright. Maybe that's the drawback of voice-controlled door devices!" Suneo chuckled and remarked.

Doraemon breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, 'Looks like Suneo didn't notice that this isn't normal.'

Suneo then recited the door's password, and it obediently opened.

Shizuka and Gian were once again puzzled as the door opened on its own. But as they entered and saw the transformed interior of Suneo's house, their eyes widened in astonishment.

Suneo took great pleasure in their reactions.

Shizuka and Gian glanced at the 3D walls that changed from an outside scene to a captivating scenes. They marveled at the tables laden with food, the large flat-screen television, and the plush sofa.

"Wow! Is this really Suneo's house?" Shizuka exclaimed in amazement.

"It looks nothing like it did before!" Gian added.

"Hahaha, of course, it's our house! Those 3D walls use advanced technology acquired through my dad's connection in the States. Even our gate and doors are voice-controlled, responding only to my commands!" Suneo boasted, rattling off a series of impressive features.

Ken chuckled in amusement, thinking that if he didn't know better about the gadget's origins, he'd be convinced it was all as Suneo claimed.

"Wow! Amazing!" Shizuka exclaimed, genuinely impressed.

Gian continued to have wide eyes and an open mouth as he marveled at the 3D walls.

Suneo then led everyone to the table filled with food. It might not have been as extravagant as what Ken had prepared earlier, but it was still luxurious.

The elevator was one of the few things Suneo couldn't imitate, despite his efforts. Doraemon had deliberately left certain things out.

After they finished their meal, they visited the various rooms Suneo had prepared for them.

There was an arcade room with gaming sets and arcade machines that didn't come from Doraemon's gadget but from Suneo's dad's pocket.

The only additions from Doraemon's gadget were the 3D scenes on the walls and ceiling and the spaciousness of the room.

"This is amazing!"

"Wow! So much fun!"

"Let's play together!"

"I'll catch you!"

The friends had a blast, including Doraemon and Nobita, despite knowing Suneo's penchant for showing off.

Ken also had fun, engaging in a fighting game against Gian.

Moving on, they explored other rooms, and when they entered one of them, they found a peculiar object.

Suneo panicked and tried to close the door hastily, but Gian stopped him, asking, "What's that?"

Doraemon and Nobita exchanged knowing glances and chuckled.

It was the Anything Reform Set, one of Doraemon's gadgets. It was responsible for the holograms and realistic 3D scenes displayed on the walls and ceiling.

Doraemon was currently controlling it with the remote he held.

"Don't worry about that! Let's head to our cinema room!" Suneo hastily redirected Gian's attention, and everyone followed suit.

"A cinema room?" Shizuka exclaimed, recalling Ken's home theater.

"A cinema? Like Ken's theater room!" Gian also exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes, exactly like that," Suneo grinned, relieved that everyone was now focused on the cinema room.

"Let's go!" Suneo said, leading the way as they ascended the stairs and entered a specific room.
