Chapter 37 Suneo's house

Suneo had an ear-to-ear grin as he examined his room. Doraemon and Nobita watched him with a sense of helplessness.

Suneo's room had undergone a drastic transformation. It now boasted a large television, realistic 3D walls displaying captivating scenes, and a ceiling that mimicked a starry night sky. The floor was soft, reminiscent of lion's fur.

Compared to its initial exterior size, Suneo's room appeared remarkably spacious on the inside. It featured a small, luxurious table and chairs near the television, a plush sofa, and an elegant mat. It had evolved from an ordinary room into an incredibly high-end and luxurious space.

"Hahaha! Our entire house has been revamped, including my room! Now, our place rivals Ken's!" Suneo chuckled gleefully.

Doraemon and Nobita sighed in resignation as they recalled how Suneo had lured them with treats.

*Flashback*

In a restaurant, Suneo, Doraemon, and Nobita sat at a table brimming with sweet snacks and desserts.

"Wow!" Doraemon and Nobita exclaimed in amazement, but they soon fixed their gazes on Suneo.

"Suneo, is all of this really for us?" Doraemon asked hesitantly, eyeing the dorayaki, while Nobita sensed something was amiss.

"Of course, Doraemon! It's all for you! You've been a great friend since day one, and I know how to show my appreciation," Suneo said with a flattering tone.

Nobita furrowed his brow and inquired, "Only for Doraemon?"

Suneo panicked but quickly replied, "Of course, it's for you too, Nobita. You're a good friend."

Doraemon's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he looked at the dorayaki and stammered, "I'm not that great a friend, but if this dorayaki is for me, it's hard to resist—I mean, refuse!"

Suneo secretly grinned.

"Hehe, don't be shy, Doraemon! I really prepared this for you..." Suneo said, rubbing his hands together, and then hastily added, "And for Nobita too."

"Thank you!" Nobita exclaimed, grabbing a dessert.

Doraemon eagerly joined in, munching on the dorayaki.

Suneo's grin widened; his plan was unfolding perfectly.

...

After Doraemon and Nobita finished the snacks and desserts, while Suneo observed quietly, they turned to him.

Doraemon, now back to his usual self, sensed that Suneo had ulterior motives all along.

Nobita, on the other hand, was too full to think about it.

Suneo rubbed his hands together with a wicked grin, making Doraemon feel helpless.

"Hehehe, now that you've finished, I have a small favor to ask, Doraemon," Suneo said with an evil grin.

Nobita, seeing the situation, exclaimed, "Aha! I knew it! You invited us for treats because you wanted Doraemon's gadgets!" he said, pointing at Suneo in shock.

"Hahaha, you're right," Suneo admitted. With the treats finished, Doraemon and Nobita were obliged to repay him.

Doraemon couldn't ignore the signs that something was amiss and sighed, "What do you want, Suneo?"

Suneo chuckled and replied, "I want your gadgets to renovate our house."

Doraemon and Nobita were preparing for the worst until Suneo added, "I want our house to outshine Ken's in design and extravagance."

Doraemon and Nobita were suddenly filled with shock and concern.

"What? I don't think..." Doraemon hesitated, wanting to decline, but Suneo interrupted.

"What? Can't you do it?" Suneo crossed his arms, scrutinizing Doraemon.

"It's just that..." Doraemon started, feeling embarrassed, but Suneo cut him off again.

"Then pay me back for treating you," Suneo held out his hand, demanding repayment.

Nobita gritted his teeth in anger and said, "But you're the one—"

"I invited you to this luxurious restaurant; the owner is my dad's friend, by the way. I ordered a bunch of luxurious snacks and desserts, and I paid from my own pocket," Suneo interrupted Nobita with a series of words.

Doraemon sweated a little and replied, "Yes, but we don't have any money."

Suneo smirked cunningly and said, "Then you have to help me."

Doraemon and Nobita couldn't help but agree in helplessness.

*Flashback ends*

"Everyone will be astonished when they see our house! Hehehe," Suneo smirked.

Doraemon and Nobita exchanged glances.

...

Ken walked outside his house, right next to the Honekawa residence.

Ken pressed the button on the house gate's bell.

...

Ding Dong.

Suneo and the others heard it, and Suneo excitedly exclaimed, "Open the door! Ken's here!"

Suddenly, Suneo turned to Doraemon and asked, "Hey, didn't you copy Ken's voice-activated elevator for our gate and front door with the Any-Maker? Why isn't our door opening?" he questioned Doraemon suspiciously.

"Um, Suneo, Ken's elevator's voice functions have been integrated with artificial intelligence, and the Any-Maker only copied the technological device," Doraemon explained before being interrupted by Suneo.

"What does that mean?" Suneo asked with a confused look.

"It means that the artificial intelligence data wasn't included in the Any-Maker's copy. It only copied the technological device, so the voice function works but lacks artificial intelligence recognition. Only the specific words you registered earlier will work," Doraemon explained in simpler terms.

Suneo felt a bit overwhelmed by Doraemon's explanation, as did Nobita.

"What?" Suneo asked, looking confused.

"The voice function only works with the commands you registered earlier," Doraemon explained more simply.

"Oh, is that all?" Suneo sighed and scolded, "Why didn't you say so earlier? You were using a bunch of complicated words."

Doraemon sighed in resignation.

"Abra Kadabra, open my grand gate!" Suneo chanted.

...

Ken waited for someone to open the gate, but no one did. As he wondered, the gate suddenly opened by itself.

Ken's eyes widened in surprise.

...

Suneo, who had brought Doraemon's gadget to observe Ken's arrival, eagerly waited for Ken's reaction to the gate opening on its own.

He was satisfied when he saw Ken's wide-eyed expression.

...

Ken approached the door as Suneo chanted a series of words, and the door swung open. As Ken entered the Honekawa house, he was utterly astonished.

The house had undergone a complete transformation compared to the versions that Suneo had in his mind from his past life. It appeared even more spacious than it looked from the outside, as if there were a dimensional expansion within Suneo's house.

The room was grand, with a luxurious table laden with food and treats prepared by Suneo's mother. Transparent glass panels displayed the vibrant backyard, filled with beautiful flowers. The walls had holographic 3D scenes, and the entire place shone brilliantly, reflecting its cleanliness and luxury.

"Wow, this is impressive," Ken exclaimed, smiling. It seemed that Doraemon's gadget had done most of the work.
