Ryugu Palace.
Today, Adrian did not go out with Queen Otohime. He was listening to the report from the Minister of Right. "What? You say the treasury has been robbed?" Adrian asked.
The Minister of Right replied, "Yes, Your Majesty. I found signs of the treasury door being opened without authorization this morning."
Adrian inquired, "What was stolen?"
The Minister of Right answered, "The national treasure, the Tamatebako, was emptied, but nothing else was lost."
"Is there a suspect?" Adrian looked concerned. He knew exactly what was inside the Tamatebako.
He didn't really care about the item itself; he was more worried that a thief had infiltrated Ryugu Palace, jeopardizing the safety of his family. If someone had brought poison inside the palace and committed a crime, the consequences would be dire.
The Minister of Right hesitated, "The only outsiders who entered Ryugu Palace yesterday were Mr. Adrian and his companions, so..."
"No, it can't be them," Adrian said with confidence. He trusted his judgment and that of the princess. Adrian couldn't imagine his companions, including himself, being involved in such a thing. "Don't announce this matter yet; let's investigate quietly."
The Minister of Right nodded, "Yes, I have placed a bomb inside the Tamatebako. If that national treasure thief dares to return, we'll make sure he regrets it."
"Make sure the guards stay vigilant, especially in protecting the safety of the princess and the children," Adrian expressed his concern about the Minister of Right's judgment. If the Tamatebako had already been emptied, why would someone come back? To take a group photo?
...
"Jinbei."
"Adrian."
Introduced by Queen Otohime, Adrian finally formally met the strongest force on Fish-Man Island. They shook hands amicably.
Adrian smiled and said, "This is my first time shaking hands with a fish-man."
Jinbei asked kindly, "How does it feel?"
Adrian teased, "Hmm... Can I touch your fin in exchange? I can let you touch Tom's paw."
"Meow?" Tom protested.
"Haha, you're an interesting one," Adrian chuckled.
They all sat down in the Mermaid Café to chat. The signature collection mission for the day was temporarily concluded, and Queen Otohime continued to beam with happiness.
"Apologies for the actions of Macro's group," Jinbei said sincerely to Adrian after hearing about Macro's gang. "I hope you weren't too frightened."
Adrian waved his hand, "Oh, not at all! I admire you, Big Boss Jinbei. I heard you became one of the Seven Warlords to protect Fish-Man Island."
Jinbei shook his head and looked at Queen Otohime, "I became one of the Seven Warlords with the hope of bridging the gap between Fish-Man Island and the World Government. I caused some trouble for the princess before, so this is a bit of compensation. I was born in Fish-Man District, and besides having some combat skills, this was the only job I could do."
Queen Otohime added, "Please don't say that. You and Fisher Tiger have both been working hard for the fish-men. It's just that we chose different paths."
At this moment, a dignified black-haired mermaid brought coffee and various snacks to their table. "Queen Otohime, Big Boss Jinbei, if you need anything, please feel free to ask."
Queen Otohime smiled, "Thank you, Shyarly."
Jinbei greeted, "Shyarly, how have you been lately?"
Shyarly replied, "Princess, you're the one working hard. The business in the café is doing well." Shyarly was the owner of this mermaid café, as well as Dragon's sister. She was also from Fish-Man District, so Jinbei and she were familiar. But unlike Dragon, Shyarly's attitude toward humans was different.
Queen Otohime's main reason for knowing her was that Shyarly had an unusual profession – she was a fortune-teller.
At the age of 3, she predicted the birth of the awaited Mermaid Princess. At 4, she foretold the arrival of the Great Age of Pirates. Her predictions about major events were always 100% accurate. However, it seemed she could only see certain images of the future. Sometimes she could accurately predict the time and specific details of events, but sometimes she couldn't. Her style of random prophecy was reminiscent of the Sage Toad from the neighboring Naruto stage.
After a few pleasantries between Shyarly, Queen Otohime, and Jinbei, they all turned their attention to Adrian. Shyarly said, "You're Mr. Adrian, the guest invited by the princess, right? It's quite impolite to stare at people like that."
Adrian apologized, "Ah, sorry. I was just thinking about the rumors of your predictions, Miss Shyarly."
Shyarly was surprised, "You've heard about them too?"
Adrian nodded, "Yes, I've heard that Miss Shyarly's predictions have never been wrong. I'm quite curious."
"In that case, I'm in the mood today, so let's do a rare fortune-telling," Shyarly said and went to get a crystal ball.
Queen Otohime and Jinbei exchanged glances; they were interested in Shyarly's predictions. Having knowledge of the future could help them prepare better.
On the other hand, Adrian didn't have high expectations, considering the lack of visual effects or any apparent supernatural abilities during the process. He thought it was less impressive than Professor Hawkins' tarot cards, which he had encountered before.
Still, out of respect for Shyarly's reputation, Adrian decided to be patient and listen.
Shyarly said, "I see Mr. Adrian surrounded by many formidable enemies, and your companions are all engaged in battles with numerous foes."
Battles were normal, and Adrian could understand that. Perhaps one day, Tom or Sharkler would catch the attention of someone, or they might inadvertently provoke a powerful pirate crew, leading to a fight. Dealing with a multitude of enemies was nothing to worry about; Adrian himself had taken on multiple opponents when he clashed with Hawk-Eye Mihawk.
"What comes next, you need to prepare yourself for," Shyarly's tone turned grave.
Adrian felt a bit uneasy and asked, "What do you mean?"
Shyarly looked at Tom with pity before saying, "Your cat, he will die."
Adrian:...
It was terrifying. Tom would die in the future...
