More of a follower than a leader, Rick doesn't stand out from the crowd much. He's reliable, always shows up on time at his job at Big B's, whether he's needed to stock shelves or stock his bosses gut. Outside of work he's a bit of a loner, often just another chump who gets eaten by a hungry pred. Rick doesn't mind though, he prefers being the passenger than the driver.
If Rick ends up having to haul someone around, (either the result of an accident or scheduling) he doesn't really know how to act. Too passive to be the hungry pred who wants to just eat his prey, and too self conscious to be the aloof pred who consumes without caring. Rick would like to be more social, but he's not very talkative with people he isn't familiar with. His boss Al is probably his best friend, but even then it's still just a work relationship.
He knows that his co-worker Joe is a weekend party animal. Rick has heard of these parties before but he hasn't been offered to come yet (not even as an hors d'oeuvre!), and he's too reserved to ask about it. Still, he has a feeling that he will end up at one of those parties soon!
