Character - Zanhark

"Turn back now!" "This is your last warning!" All manner of signs telling potential guests of the manor to leave immediately as they approach. And yet, some soon to be prey foolishly ignore the signs, thinking that whatever is in their couldn't possibly be that bad. They'd be wrong, because it is the home to Zanhark.

Zanhark is a ghost who just loves visitors so much, he wants them to stay as residents. Taking him time to spook them before he consumes them, he loves prey that ignores all warning signs and keeps moving forward. He shares his manor with a few other ghosts who are his minions, and of course they aren't allowed to consume anyone, only he can. They help him scare, trap and feed him prey (although sometimes in the process they get eaten alongside the prey).

Zanhark always fully absorbs his prey, not wanting any trace of them to be left. He loves the idea of being the final stop for his food. After they are absorbed, in the backyard of the mansion, a marker rises from the ground with the name of those whos soul he has absorbed. There it'll remain until Zanhark can't contain them in his body any longer. When Zanharks prey reforms, they have no memory of what happened. Just a foreboding feeling that returning to the haunted mansion may not be a good idea.

Zanhark also has a rare ability of form manipulation. He cannot forcefully do it, but to a willing prey he is able to absorb the form they have, leaving them to be a ghost when they reform! Their marker remains in the backyard, and Zanharks default state is fatter for as long as they are still a ghost. If they want their old form back, they simply have to return to Zanhark and demand it back. He may try to convince them otherwise, but due to forces greater than his own, he must fulfill their request.

Inside the manor, Zanhark is at his strongest, and so far he has never been eaten inside of it. However sometimes he leaves the manor when he hasn't had a meal in quite some time. Not to eat people, but to get eaten. When he is their fat, he slowly plants into the minds of his pred the knowledge of the mansion. That it's a cool place with lots of edible ghosts! When he is released and reformed, he waits in his manor for his meal to arrive.
