Monday update

Today is one of those rare mondays in a month where we don't have a regular game update scheduled, because there is five mondays in September. So instead I'm going to give a recap of what I've been working on lately so you can have some news of the exciting things that have been happening.

First, our Locktober event is going really well, we've got around 25 people set up in the discord to participate, and we've secured a bunch of really cool rewards both internally, but also in collaboration with some of our friends. If you have signed up on the google form, but not gotten your own channel in the discord, and the good girl role, you are not in fact signed up. Make sure you're locked into the discord if you want to claim prizes.

Second, the Creature of Castorfield is approaching a milestone, we're trying to get it ready to build a preview page on itch.io just like we did for the Grand Butt-Sex hotel three months before it went live on there. We're currently working on a logo treatment, and some art for the splash page. It'll be revealed here at the same time, so don't worry about missing anything. We've also put a bunch of time into setting up the introduction sequence, as it plays out like a comic just like Black Contract, and takes a lot more time than just writing dialogue lines into renpy. It at this time has 25 unique images (which includes speech bubbles) and I think it's about halfway done. We might show off hints of this in the next Creature of Castorfield update.

Third, Shackles of Ellswyn, that's the update that is next week. We're still working on the major routing adjustments plan, where we need to patch up a lot of holes, and currently the scene being worked on is a second ritual with the witch where you are transformed. This comes after the scene of seeing your future that could have been in the magic mirror. This is so that if you spent the beginning of the game all with Jane the warrior, you could still move into the witch route and be transformed, and we will have a route afterwards where you can return to jane transformed, instead of having no jane content with femme mc.

Fourth, The Grand Butt-Sex hotel, as we've now launched it on itch we're now trying to focus a little bit on confirming the routing, as we need to approach introducing our newest character Maeve, soon, but we also don't want to leave our other characters behind too fast. So we're spending a little time showing how Cass and Cookie are different before giving you a chance to meet the new character. Once they are introduced we will be able to do more scenes like the dining room, where you can choose a character to spend time with.

And, well there's always a lot of other little bits and pieces going on, we didn't even mention what's happening with the podcast, as there's always stuff happening there with planning guests and episodes. Here is just hopefully a little taste of what we're working on to keep you excited about what's coming soon!
