Sexy Business Podcast - reflection
Added 2025-09-17 00:00:30 +0000 UTCThe Sexy Business Podcast has been going really well, we've been quite lucky in the amount of amazing guests we've been able to get onto the show, and the stats and numbers are growing nicely. So we're trying to figure out what's next.
A lot of podcasts that have a Patreon attached will often have bonus content or episodes exclusive to the patreon, if we did that what kind of content would you want to see on here as a patron?
Have you been enjoying the show so far? Do you have a favourite episode?
Should we spend more time talking about THM content, or are interviews with other creators more interesting?
We want to hear your thoughts, to help us shape the future of the show!

As much as I would love to do stuff like gameplay or showing actual non-youtube TOS content, it doesn't really work on patreon. We could definitely do more THM focused content ala behind the curtain, or we could do episodes by poll or request for patreon

Edit: Based on other podcasts with similar formats, I think bonus episodes tend to fall into two categories: 1) episodes that don’t quite fit into the “main feed,” like smaller discussions on quick topics or 2) episodes that thematically fit but can’t be included due to content restrictions on YouTube (though now Patreon’s doing bullsh*t sooooo :P ). Patreon exclusives I’d like to see, though… Well, I’m not sure! I think it would be interesting to have quick game recommendations (perhaps like Sex Positive Gaming?) or highlighting other podcasts/games/creative folx. I don’t think I’d want entire, exclusive episodes unless it could *only* be on Patreon or something similar. ‘Tis my opinion, of course. The show is delightful, as always, especially as you’re getting more interviews! I absolutely LOVED the interview with Malerouille, but I’ll always have a soft spot for #21 on “How much money do indie devs make?”, since it was I *think* the very first episode I stumbled onto and has pushed me to be more mindful of the games that I play (and pay for my p*rn! ;3 ). I do think an occasional “behind the curtain” episode sounds like a good idea, especially since game making can feel like a ~mysterious process~ rather than labor (Ex: Silksong’s devs going radio silent to focus on making the game and everyone and their brother divining the stars to figure out the release date.) Being a bit earnest about the struggles and joys of games is, in my opinion, one of the best things y’all do! \^0^/ Now to catch up on the backlog… ^_^”
