Alchemy is one of the few crafts of magic that really blends the ancient ways with the modern. While it has some drawbacks, it also has fantastic utility and allows weaker thaumaturges to compete on the basis of power, as long as they are well-prepared.

Author Note:
The next chapter of PGTS is coming 3/10, next Thursday. I am continuing to drill into the story at about the same speed, and hope to have reached the halfway point of Book 3's first draft by the end of next week, which is kind of exciting, if you view the glass as half-full. (If you view it as half-empty, this just means that since the book is so long, it's going to take even longer to be finished and published, though if you're on the Patreon, that shouldn't matter as much since you're getting new chapters as they are ready, all along the way.)
Guys, I think I just want to be happy I have half a glass in the first place! I hope you all are doing well, and like you, I'm excited to get back to weekly chapters next month.
P.S. If you want your own ebook copy of A Conjuring of Ravens but haven't picked one up, it is on sale at digital bookstores all around the world this week. If you live internationally, you should be able to get the sale price, just like people in the U.S.
