A note regarding iOS and membership
Added 2025-04-28 11:21:07 +0000 UTCRecently I noticed a few members have joined through the apple app store rather than the patreon site itself. As pleased as I am every time a new member joins, I would recommend avoiding signing up via the app store. There are two reasons for this:
1. Due to Apple's policies, you are actually spending almost 50% more for the same membership just by purchasing it through the app store. If you instead go to the patreon website via your browser, the prices will be standard. None of that extra money goes to me and is taken by apple. I love your support, but don't want my wonderful readers to be scammed of their hard earned cash!
2. The money from the app store is held for 90 days before I am able to access it. This is not a huge issue, more of an inconvenience, but when added to the previous problem it just makes this option bad for me as a writer and you as a reader and a monetary supporter of mine.
In short, if you are seeking a membership of any tier to my patreon to read my stories, I would recommend going through the patreon website! Thanks for your time and support and have a great week.
