It has been so hot every single day since right before Khmer New Year. I can barely function. I got a touch of heatstroke in Siem Reap during the celebrations, and then caught a horrible summer cold. That eliminated my ability to cope with these temperatures. It has been sitting at or above 100F (38C) with 80% or more humidity. Wifi is unusually slow, my AC can barely keep my bedroom cool, and I have been hiring cars instead of tuktuks to get home from work. I haven't been able to work out or even go for a simple walk. It's like winter, only Hell.
All day yesterday I tried to get my thoughts together to write about the amazing things that have been going on, but I'm literally delirious. So, instead, I will just make a little list and try again soon.
-I renewed my contract at work for another school year, woot.
-I have been invited to participate in even more comedy stuff
-I was taught how to make excellent vegan mayo from scratch
-I was gifted VEGAN MACAROONS (pictured)
-bought myself a massage table, already taking bookings
-I successfully played matchmaker with a cute younger couple
-I love Mia Priest, (pictures soon)
My time is already up as I am doing this right before a really long work day. I technically have like 4 jobs. Teacher, artist, writer, therapist. Wish me luck, the heat isn't going to calm down until next week.
