ANNOUNCEMENT- HIATUS 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
Added 2022-03-24 11:55:36 +0000 UTCHello again, my faithful patrons and followers! I come to you with a fateful announcement!
To get straight to the point- I'm going to be on at least partial hiatus until sometime next year! I will try to keep writing, and may even take some commissions, but I'm sure you know how well it went last time I tried that. I will be finishing the last of my current commissions before I start, so there's still one more chapter for y'all to look forward to before I go! The discord server will remain open and I will almost certainly remain active so you can always talk to me there, and if you need another way to contact me for some reason, you can always email me!
Now, for the longer version-
If you're already on my discord server, you likely heard about the ongoing kickstarter campaign for the "anti-dating sim" 'I Just Want To Be Single!', and that I wrote most of the scenes/dialogue for the demo (it's free on steam!). I didn't want to say anything until it was a sure thing, but now that the game's officially funded, I can announce that they want me back, to write the full version of the game! It's, like, a real, serious job, that'll pay a livable wage and has deadlines and everything. The game is supposed to be finished by June of 2023, but I'm not 100% sure how much of that I'm going to be busy for, and how much is just gonna be coding/ voice acting/art stuff that they do after my part's finished. It'll also depend on how many stretch goals the campaign meets, and how much additional dialogue said goals will require.
I know some (or even 'most') of you will probably not be interested in the game- It's VERY different from my usual writing, almost diametrically opposed in many ways. For example, the protagonist is a nonbinary aromantic asexual, whereas I am an unrepentantly horny-on-main pansexual trans woman. But honestly, I had a lot of fun writing the demo, and I'm really proud of my work on the dialogue, so I would encourage you to give it a chance! I'm very much looking forward to working on the full version, and I would be happy to have your support along the way! Thank you once again for reading, and as always - I hope you enjoy!
