So! New month! Things are looking up! July started out pretty rough, behind schedule and stalled out, then two commission patrons cancelling one after another... But almost as soon as I let y’all know what was happening, two other patrons stepped up and filled the gap. Once again, I cannot say how grateful I am to all of you who upped their pledges or just signed up. It’s a huge relief to that you’ve all got my back like that, to know that when shit hits the fan, I can count on you. I’m going to do my very best to earn every bit of your support.
It’s been a productive month, though! I’m trying a new schedule/strategy for writing more, and it’s been VERY successful, when I can actually stick to it. Normally, I just work on a story until I run out of steam or get stuck or get distracted, then my mind wanders and I go watch youtube or scroll twitter and then next thing I know it’s like 4PM and it’s too late to do anything more. Now, when I hit that point, I take a break and do something offline, like a long lunch or a shower, then come back and start working on a different story. I think the problem was that I had trouble breaking back out of the cycle of content that keeps users engaged on social media sites, and with this method I find it much, much easier to stay in the writing mindset, rather than getting angry at the news or distracted by memes. It’s pretty much doubling my productivity on days when I actually pull it off, but it’s tough to resist the siren’s call, some days. Still, it's probably +50% productivity, at least.

I’m also thinking I’ll start calling the [Preview] posts something like [Early Access] or [Supporter Exclusive] in the interest of making it clear they’re full chapters, not just teasers.
