Added 2018-12-21 16:11:09 +0000 UTCHello, my faithful patrons! I know it's way late in the month for the musings post, but I have an update for you on an ongoing situation that I've been reluctant to talk about.
So. My financial situation being what it is, I live at home with my mom. It’s not something I generally share with people online, as it makes me sound like a creepy neckbeard, but in this case, there’s no way around it, it’s vital context. So, about two weeks ago, my mom sprained her back rather spectacularly. She’s fine, I assure you, she just needs some rest and a little PT, but it’s one of those things where aggravating it could make it much worse, so she can't go to work. Which means I’m not getting much of anything done. For one thing, having mom two rooms away makes it SUPER WEIRD to write smut. Sometimes I can work through it, but usually I just can’t get into the right mood while I can hear her watching HGTV in the distance. But in this particular case, she’s not supposed to be bending down or lifting things, so I have to be on call to do so for her, or she’ll just do it herself and possibly worsen her injury. This, ultimately, makes writing smut functionally impossible. Originally, she was supposed to go back to work yesterday, and I’d hoped to be able to squeeze out a chapter this month in the few days between her going back to work and the various family christmas events. Yesterday, however, she had a follow-up at the doctor’s, and her time off has been extended another two weeks.
So, unfortunately, it looks like I won’t be able to write anything sexy this month. Normal smut-flow will hopefully resume in January. I’m gonna take a good look at my documents and see if there’s anything I could post in the meantime to tide you over during this smut-drought and keep me out of complete bankruptcy.
