I’m not gonna lie, this one gave me a lot of trouble, but once I stopped trying to force it to match up with my initial plans, I had a lot of fun with it. This is part one, so there should be more of this sooner or later, provided the commissioner sticks around. This is kind of a successor to the story The First Kiss of the Life Seed, so if you want to see a little more of Alika, go check it out!
So, I’m gonna try something different with this one. As usual, you guys reading this, my most generous patrons, will get to read this a full week in advance, with exclusive access. But after that week, rather than posting it everywhere and losing a whole working day while I do, I’m going to release it to all my patrons, but nobody else. I’ll put the full version out there everywhere else at the start of the next month, when I’ll already be spending a full day posting musings all over. It’s just an experiment for now, but we’ll see how it goes, see it it becomes a policy or not.
