Chapter 89.5- One Thousand Hands

“She’s the daughter of Mu” He said.

“The Null man?”

“Yup. The Second Tsuchikage himself. She was the one supposed to be in the running to become the third. But then one day her father sees a young Onoki perfectly executing his jutsu. You see Onoki had initially been far from the running for the position. Sure, Ishikawa was his Grandfather, but Ishikawa had very much fully intended Mu to be his legacy. Ishikawa had been able to use the jutsu from what I could tell, but nowhere near the same level as Mu, and he didn’t have the particle release either. So it was basically a life of mediocrity for Onoki. Then he spied on some lessons, showed he was better than the person actually being taught and credit where it is due, the Null man didn’t waste the potential that he could see right in front of his eyes.” Inoken said.

“Interesting. So I’m guessing you’re telling me this because the lessons Onoki spied on were the ones on the lightening jutsu?”

“Exactly. You’re a good guesser, Shori. You should find a job that lets you do a lot of that.” He said, somewhat sarcastically.

“Of course. But then I wonder how looking for information on the technique led to finding this out” I said, watching as Inoken flushed, his head turning to the side as he refused to meet my gaze. He’d clearly diverted from the mission I’d sent him on, and he wasn’t even guity. I sighed. What an army I had at my disposal. Taking that as his cue to attempt a defence, he began now.

“But it’s so interesting. No one even has any record of the Null man ever having children. To think that one was hiding right under our noses all this while, pretending to be the civilian wife of the Kage. It makes you wonder…just what other secrets could the other villages have lurking beneath their surfaces?”

“Well that’s all well and good, but can you explain the jutsu to me now? You know, the thing I actually asked you to find out?” I asked. I wasn’t all that bothered by his curiosity, but it was best to try to get any inclination for disobeying orders out of him sooner rather than later.

“Sure I can” I waved him on.

“As you probably know, the technique is actually two different jutsu. One is the light weight rock technique and the other is the added weight rock technique.” He started.
